This version is completely rewritten to prevent any conflicts with other add ons.

Other than that, there are no new features.

But if you are still using the previous stable release of our add on (0.3.1), there were new features added in in the versions between, such as:

• Statusbar icon now flashes when video download is available.
• Fixed issue with flashing not working correctly in Firefox 2.0 – 3.0

I actually just discovered that you can enable public user registrations on WordPress, but shhh…
Anyway, now you can post your articles even more easily! It is great and free way to promote your website and get yourself some of those priceless backlinks. You also get a profile page where you can include information (and links) to your website.

YouTubeKeep.com working again! YouTube blocked the IP address of my server from using the download script. I’ve noticed that almost no YouTube downloading sites work anymore. Even Keepvid wasn’t working yesterday (but they’ve fixed their script now)!

I was working on it for about 10 hours yesterday. Modifying and modifying until I got it working reliably enough to send it live.

So use it while you can! I expect a nasty e-mail from YouTube any minutes now…

So… It’s been a while. Sorry about that. I have no real excuse apart from laziness. Well, and I got a new job. I love the hippie lifestyle (the not working bit), but the no money bit catches up on you after a while.

Anyway, I’m going to stop being so lazy. That means, keeping my websites up to date, exercising, eating and working. But I hope to only be doing the latter (in the traditional sense at least) for the next few years.

To the important things! I’ve spent the last couple of days working on my website, getting them up updated and whatnot. And in the process, got the article directory I was talking about a while ago, up and running!

There’s still a lot I need to do to it, mostly in terms of looks, but it is all working a ready for you other webmasters out there to get your articles published.

The website is FreeArticlesWiki.com

I had other plans for it at first (hence the wiki part in the domain name). But now, I guess, I just have to make a joke about it NOT being a wiki at all.

Free traffic and backlinks! You know you can’t resist…

That’s right folks, I have decided to reposition my ads. Why?

A few reasons:

1. To hopefully get a better CTR (click-through ratio). Since they are now more in the content, maybe people will look more at them.
2. To possibly be less annoying. I noticed that the drop-down menus are sometimes shown under ads, making them impossible to click.
3. The sidebar should now be more usable without the big block ad there. Categories and archives are now visible without scrolling down.
4. I’ve opted for less ads on most pages, so pages should load just that tiny bit faster.

So, I’ll see how they go. I’ll let you know if they do better.

Let me know if you think they are more anoying where they are and if you have any problem with their positioning.
